To demonstrate God’s love by compassionately providing emergency services and long-term solutions to help our homeless neighbors transition back into the community with gainful employment, sustainable income and stable housing. For more info, please visit the Mission's website: eugenemission.org/ The race photos are up and available for download.
Thanks to all who came out for the race. The weather turned out not too bad. At the finish line, I heard almost exclusively about the beautiful course, not the weather. Thank you to my beautiful assistant RD, M Victoria Moran, my daughter Monet and my board members and aid station captains Ron Stone and David Pila. Thanks to the folks from First Baptist of Oakridge who came out to volunteer. Thank you to our paramedic, Nathan who waited all day, thankfully, he was not needed! Thank you to Amanda, our Chef, who makes "the best soup ever".
Special Thanks to the US Forest Service for allowing us to use the trail and for getting the great new bridge over swift creek done as well as several other new bridges. Thank you to the G.O.A.T.S. for their work on the trail. But most of all I thank God for the beautiful forest and for the chance to share it and the joy of running with the community. Thanks to Ray and the guys with High Desert Radio Amateur Group (HiDARG), our HAM radio operators. Their help is essential to keep everything running and most importantly to help keep all the runners and volunteers safe. Finally, thanks to our sponsors, Eugene Running company, Greenlayer Sports and GU Energy. Results are available on the results page and pictures will be up next week. Thanks to our sponsor, Eugene Running company, we'll have some sweet prizes for our drawing. All runners will be automatically entered in the random drawing. Prizes include Balega sock, Asics tech shirts and hats, and some cool lockable shoelaces
Greenlayer Sports out of Portland have graciously donated long sleeve technical shirts for the champions. The male and female winners for each race will receive a card redeemable for a shirt from Greenlayer:
