  • Start time: 10:00 am
  • Race check in will be from 7:30-9:30 the morning of the race at the start line, see directions
  • The first four miles will be along the Historic  Oregon Central Military Wagon road, smooth, fast and scenic. The course then winds along the river and crosses several streams. There are a few short and steep climbs and a few more gentle climbs. At five miles, you'll cross a spring with a sign to indigo springs, continue straight. One more mile of ups and downs will bring you to the first aid station at Chuckle springs. You will enter the burn area a 1/4 mile before the aid station.
  • You'll be in the burn area for another mile then a few modest ups and downs with a bit of exposure looking down into the river valley. The last couple miles before the turn around at forest service road 2153 will be fast. You'll  traverse a prairie, just continue straight. The turn around will be less than a mile after the prairie, turn right at the road and cross the bridge.
  • Cutoff: Racers must leave the turn around before 2:00 pm or they will be pulled from the race and will be escorted back to the start by the aid station crew. Racers must leave Chuckle springs by 3:30. All racers must cross the fish line by 6:00 pm.
  • Drop bags will be available for the turn around. Drop bags must be labels with the race distance and racer's bib number and dropped off at the start before 9:00 am race morning. Drop bags will be returned to the start after the last racer leaves the aid station. If you do use drop bags, you will be responsible for waiting for the bag to be returned to the start line. Abandoned drop bags  will be donated to Salvation Army.
  • Elevation gain is approximately 2800 feet. The elevation profile shows the "out" section of the course
  • The course is located in the Willamette National Forest.
